Hi, I’m Rajat Mitra – a Toronto-based photographer with roots in Kolkata, India. My journey behind the lens began with a borrowed point-and-shoot and a curiosity that quickly turned into a lifelong passion. From the electric energy of music festivals in high school to intimate wedding stories and now stylized editorials, my lens has always been drawn to emotion, attention to detail, and narrative.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Media Science and spending seven years capturing weddings all across India, I made the leap to Toronto to study photography at Humber College. Now, as I graduate, I find myself deeply immersed in the world of editorials, with a growing love for commercial and product photography.

My work is driven by curiosity, emotion, and a desire to create images that feel honest, bold, and true to my style. I approach every project with intention and heart.
